The Gill 60mm Blade Sensor is an inductive position sensor, capable of sensing the linear (0-60mm) or angular (0-90º) position of a metallic ‘activator’ mounted to or formed as part of the moving part of the application. This solid-state inductive position sensor utilises Gill’s patented induction technology, with no moving sensor parts ensuring long sensor life and high reliability.
Inductive Position Sensor - Activator Design
We generally recommend that the U-shaped activator is manufactured from mild-steel, however a range of other materials can be used (note: Stainless steel and aluminium cannot be used). Please contact us for activator design advice.
The inductive position sensor output options include Analogue (0-4.5V), Switch, Serial and PWM. The overall measurement range is fully configurable via free BladeCOM software, providing full-scale output over the required range to ensure the highest possible accuracy.
